I happened to talk to a client today and he had a very good business proposal, one that he has mentioned to me before. Immediately I was excited and my mind ran wild with idas of how the business could operate, who we could get, what we could do. Then I thought about the time I would invest and the enormous growth potential out there. It was and still is an exciting prospect. But what was the motivation behind a new business. Status and the desire to earn more money, those were or are my two primary motivators. If those are the emotions that lead into the business then the business is bound to fail. It will develope a culture based on status and greed and will attract those types of people to it. Yes the business can work, however I am not ready to ente into a new venture just yet. Maybe tommorrow, maybe next week, next month or next year. What will be will be when I choose it to be so. Once I have the correct reason and motivation to start a new business it will be a great one, one that cannot fail. One that helps people grow and fufils a need.
