Another weekend behind us. Man what an awesome weekend in Port Alfred. Great weather, good people, and loads of fun.
Managed to get our quota of prawns on Saturday in the river, man that was fun, I haven’t gone to get prawns in the past 6 years or so. Funny how things change and you forget bout the things that excited you. Well needless to say we had prawns and Cob on the fire Sat and prawns and rump steak for supper last night. Sunday was just as rewarding, woke up early, took a drive down to the beach and then shot through to Kenton with the family and friends. We had an awesome morning playing in the rock pools, followed by a lekker brunch at Homewoods. Then back home loaded up my board and went surfing with Pudding. No sooner were we done and it was lawn cricket with Ethan get the fire going and then sit back and enjoy the reflections of the things I enjoyed doing over the weekend.
As I get older I find that the things I really enjoy are the same things I have always enjoyed doing. Climbing trees, exploring the bush, surfing, fishing, cruising along the beach and spending time with myself. I have always been a bit of a loner, and whilst there have always been plenty of friends and acquaintances around, the time I spent alone is always calming and meaningful. I have learnt to face my fears on nights alone in the middle of nowhere, learnt that you can experience 5 min pass by in the blink of an eye or have 5 min feel like eternity. Maybe that is why I have been enjoying these early mornings this year. I have time to sit and reflect, time to just park at the beach or sit in the office doing some admin. Part of me has been calling for some solitude and I have found it right here in my daily routine. Funny how life tends to give you exactly what you need when you need it provided you are aware of what is happening around you. Even when life seems a little chaotic and off camber one can still calmly assess where you are and where you would like to be and choose your own path.
I choose life, I choose happiness, I choose wealth and prosperity. I am surrounding myself with like minded purpose driven individuals who share similar outlooks on life and are not willing to accept the negativity doomsday prophets out there. A new generation of people will come to the fore and show the rest of the world that it is indeed possible to life the life you choose. We will show you that life is not meant to be a constant battle, life is meant to be a beautiful adventure where you are the author of your own story.
So right now I will sign off and continue creating the legacy that I have chosen for myself and make the most of this glorious day in Port Alfred .
awesome!
