Nothing is really difficult, we sometimes just over complicate things. Sometimes we rush our journey and try force our hand. We are impatient, we see a glimpse of the future and we want to rush into it, forgetting and overlooking what is happening right now. Even difficult descisions should be really simple, although this is much easier said than done. We all get to choose, everyday we are faced with potentially life changing decisions. Sometimes we just flow into the direction we are meant to be and other times we do our best to try change our course. There are no mistakes, our journey just continues. Often our choices are not based on what we want, we are influenced by our kids, parents, society, friends and even our own self doubt. Sometimes this is the right choice, when we cannot decide for ourselves we are sometimes assisted. Sometimes we need to stand up and fight for what we want, take a stand and grab life as it passes.
When is it the choice the correct one?
Who is to say that anything is right or wrong?
Do we sacrfice ourselves for the greater good of others? This is a noble cause and many believe that it is a legacy worth dying for. Do we forge on and write our own story inspite of others? This I think leads to a path of hurt and sadness for all concerned.
When we choose the truth, even when it is against the general consensus of those around us, when we choose to live our destiny, our legacy, then we have made the right choice. In choosing to live our lives truefully to ourselves, and with love and respect of others we will be destined for greatness.
I have a long way to tavel on my path, recently I have been far more aware of where I am heading and my surroundings. I am in tune with my thoughts, and even though I do not always know exactly which path to choose, or where to go, I am enjoying the journey. I have realized that it is written. My journey lies before me and I am excited about it, our paths are laid before us, it is our responsibilty to learn, savour, and soak up the experience and become wiser as we travel. I have had the most beautiful people cross my path: mentors, friends, soul mates, comedians, sages. No one is a stranger and everyone has a lesson for me.
Today I made peace with someone who I haven’t spoken to this year. And in doing so recieved a message, a message that said don’t give up on your future, don’t rush your future, just go with the flow,  the future arrives by itself and it is beautiful. Well not quite like that word for word, but my heart recoginised the message and it was at peace. She also said that a leopard never changes its spots.
So a BIG Thank You to all my friends, my wonderful family, the smiley strangers and to the authors of the great books I love reading. The Jungle Book and Tarzan, The Monk who Sold his Ferrari, The Alchemist and Fatima. Thank you all for playing such a great part in my life. Without you all my life would be meaningless.
So off we go, follow our dreams, make the world a better place (or not), things just fall into place. Surf, Love, Pray, Smile, Dream, Work, Sing, Wave at the Sky, do whatever it takes to make your heart shout out in joy and life the life of your dreams. After all you owe it to yourself.
