Fear and Love

It is said that all our decisions are based either on fear or love. Change strikes fear into peoples hearts, the fear of the unknown, the fear of stepping out our comfort zone, the fear that we may loose the little we have. I prefer seeing change as a choice based on love, the love of adventure, the love of living life on the edge when each moment is real and infinite. Fear is every present, a constant reminder of our mortality, however I do not find it beneficial to make decisions based on fear. I find that fear tends to paralyse the mind, numbing it into acceptance of comforts and routine of everyday life. Rather the devil you know kind of existance. When we choose out of love, we have the benefits of a relaxed mind as opposed to the adrenaline filled fearful mind. Choosing out of love seems to fit into the natural way of the universe, unless you a wildebeest trying to cross a crocodile infested river, then every ounce of adrenaline is vital. But in our everyday lives where we in a space that doesn’t require lightning fast decisions, I reckon we need to sit back, relax, look at the big picture and choose out of love. Love for life, love for ourselves, love of each other, love of the adventure, the unknown, the fact that it will all turn out just the way it should. Maktub.
